We offer a touch up option that can take care of anything you find objectionable in your images. You simply let us know what you would like adjusted and our in-house staff artist we make it happen.
Q: CAN MY SIGNIFICANT OTHER BE INCLUDED?
Yes. We encourage couples to be featured in their maternity portrait. Years later, their child will be able to see how important this time was for the entire family.
Q: CAN YOU RECOMMEND WARDROBE?
From our experience, most women wear one or all of the following during their photo shoot: a husband’s dress shirt, a simply black or white lingerie robe, or a black bandeau. All these options allow you to accentuate the pregnant belly. We feel it is important for each woman to take into consideration her sense of style, level of comfort and types of maternity photos she wants to have. At your consultation, we will go over the typical wardrobe options as well as other important details that will help prepare you for your photo shoot.
Q: I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT ON MY PHOTO SHOOT.
The artist and the entire creative team will be helping you during the photo shoot. They will capture the essence and beauty of your pregnancy. You will feel beautiful. When you depart from the studio, you will feel like you were pampered at a spa.
Q: WHEN SHOULD I CALL TO RESERVE TIME FOR MY MATERNITY PORTRAIT?
We recommend contacting us at your earliest convenience and speaking with Taylor, our Portrait Consultant, to schedule a consultation. We have learned the sooner you contact us in the pregnancy, the more time you have to plan for your photo shoot.
NEWBORN FAQ
Q: WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO HAVE MY NEWBORN PORTRAIT?
We have learned to trust our client’s instincts on this question. Most clients are concerned about having their portraits created before their child is too old, although the definition of ‘too old’ might vary from 10 days to 11 months old. From years of experience in creating newborn portraits, we have learned that it is a highly personal preference. We have created beautiful portraits of newborns that are only a few days old. The same can be said for the portraits we created when they were a few months old. It really depends on what the client wants, and going from there.
Q: WHAT IF MY NEWBORN DOESN’T COOPERATE ON THE PHOTO SHOOT?
The photo shoots are always scheduled with plenty of extra time that allow everyone to relax, sit back and let the perfect moment happen. We also schedule time in for nursing your baby, changing diapers and playing with toys.
Q: WHAT SHOULD I BRING FOR WARDROBE?
All families are different and the same can be said for wardrobe choices our clients make for their photo shoot. However, we do recommend keeping it simple with the focus on precious details of your newborn. For older babies you might want to include diaper covers and bring along a favorite hat or two. You will mostly likely want to avoid large logos on the wardrobe unless you are going for a sports theme. At your consultation, Carla will share more details on wardrobe and answer all your questions or concerns.
