Willow Street Pictures decided to help the K9 Police after reading several articles in the local paper that discussed the group was in need of funding otherwise they might be phased out.
We contacted the group to learn more about their situation. We could tell it is a dedicated group of K9 officers who could really use some funding. They need to make the public more aware of the positive impact they have on the community.
The dogs that make up this elite group are all rescues. They come from the streets and now spend their lives protecting them. Each officer is responsible for the extensive training of his or her dog. They go through rigorous training exercises together every other week at a special course designed to prepare them for various situations they will encounter.
On May 14, 2011 from 2:00pm to 7:00pm Willow Street Pictures will be having a gallery showing of these images at our studio. The K9 group will be attending with their dogs. Willow Street Pictures cordially invites you to attend this special event.
